CCW Breakaways Manufacturing History
Our pants were manufactured in Pennsylvania . . . from 2009 until about 2013. After the global economic crash of 2008, survival became very difficult for our 50+ year old supplier. They were an incredibly great partner. We admired their dedication to hang on until their factory finally closed in 2013.
Then our pants were made in Tennessee until 2015. This manufacturer just could not produce to the quality standards and the volumes that we required.
During all this time, we invested several hundred thousand dollars trying to keep them “Made in America.” In mid-2015, we finally had to admit we were losing a battle to a foe that was substantially bigger than us. It was either go-out-of-business, or go-off-shore like 98% of the other garment companies. Unfortunately, our circumstance was no different than other consumer goods products like TVs, PCs, Tablets, cell phones, and the electronic devices you're using to read this message. For a multitude of reasons, the technology, the skills, the how-to-knowledge, and all the supporting industries and infrastructure moved.
Our SkinTight Holsters are Made in the USA. Our two Leather Belts are Made in USA. And our Anti-Print Shields are made in the USA too.

The Auto Capital of the World used to be Detroit, MI. It no longer is.
The Financial Capital of the World used to be New York City, NY. It no longer is.
The Airplane Capital of the World used to be Wichita, KS. It no longer is.
The Electronics Capital of the World used to be in multiple locations here in the USA. It no longer is.
The Chocolate Capital of the World used to be Hershey, PA. It no longer is.
And the Garment Industry Capital of the World used to populate many little towns all over the USA. It no longer does.
So in 2016, our CCW Pants manufacturing began with a family-owned business in Hong Kong (a former British Colony until 1999, now a Special Administrative Region of China). This is where the Garment Industry Capital of the World lives now. With this new center of commerce, we now have access to the highest quality components, materials, and workmanship that we've ever produced. Our supplier has extremely well documented standards and processes. They produce products for other high-end US companies like JoS. A. Bank.
Two key patented CCW Breakaways pant features are still produced with "Made in USA" components. We export materials from the USA to Hong Kong . . . we make it into a finished product . . . and then we import the whole item back into the USA. That's the way the global economy works in today's world.
