Pie A Corner With Handgun

What To Consider When Navigating Corners With A Handgun?

PIE The Corner

  • Slice the corner like a pie
  • If space permits, do not hug the inside corner
  • If necessary, take a knee to change your elevation

RIGHT Hand or LEFT Hand?

  • It depends. Practice and be skilled with BOTH! In the video below, observe the RIGHT HAND grip first, with more cornering exposure. Then, observe the LEFT HAND grip in the second segment, with LESS corning exposure.
  • The principle? Muzzle your threat with minimal exposure. Switch hands if required.

TELEGRAPHING Your Approach

  • Obviously a light or a laser will telegraph your advance. Be wise if using these tools.
  • Even if there's minimal back lighting in your situation, your shadow can precede your entry through a doorway.
